Easter Brunch – No Service at Cleveland

March 30th, 2013

This Sunday, March 31, Epicentre will celebrate Jesus’ Life & Resurrection through Easter Brunches, lifegroup gatherings across Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley. Our church worship site at Cleveland Elementary will be closed. Easter brunches are our way of celebrating the life of Jesus through modelling His life and power incarnationally to our friends and family. Easter brunches will have food, games, and a time to reflect on Easter, all in the context of a casual relational brunch setting. Feel free to invite your friends and family to this celebrative event.

If you are looking for an Easter Brunch to be a part of, see the map below for general locations, and scroll down for times and contact information for each lifegroup Easter Brunch on Sunday:

Church Fast: Consecration 11/4-11

November 2nd, 2012

“They all joined together constantly in prayer…” (Acts. 2:14). In the book of Acts, we read that the early disciples were always seeking the Lord together in prayer for courage, guidance, and deliverance.  As we continue to press into the fullness of what God has for us as a church, we desire that everything we do will come out of us being before the Lord together.  The staff invites you to join us in our annual churchwide prayer & fasting from the evening of Nov. 4 to morning of Nov. 11.  The theme this year is “Consecration.”  Click here for a copy of a reflection booklet you can use for the fast.

In conjunction with the church fast, come out to the community prayer and worship nights at our new prayer room: House of Prayer, Epicentre (or HOPE).  The HOPE room is located on the first floor of the church office.  Our community prayer and worship nights will be on Nov. 4, 7 & 10, from 6-7:30pm.

Operation Christmas Child

October 12th, 2012

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan’s purse where shoe box gifts are packed and shipped to children around the world.  At Epicentre, shoe box packing is one of the highlights of our Christmas season.  This is a great activity to do as individuals, families, or in Lifegroups.  It’s been a great way to serve together, catch a heart for those around the world, and have fun.  This year our Shoe Box Collection Sundays at Epicentre will be November 4th, 11th and 18th.  There are many ways to get involved:

1) Pray.  Nothing is more critical to the work of Operation Christmas Child than dedicated prayer support  Please cover the project in prayer.  We have free OCC prayer bookmarks available at church on Sundays.
2) Give.  You can adopt-a-box that has already been packed and filled with gifts.  Just visit our Operation Christmas Child table on Sunday 11/11 or 11/18.
3) Pack a box.  Click on this link for a list of Gift ideas and tips on what to include and what not to include in your shoe boxes.  Please remember to include $7 per shoe box for shipping and handling.

Follow your box – for options 2 & 3, you can even make your shoe box donation securely online using EZ give and learn about the country where your gift is going: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/followyourbox/.

If you are interested in a hands-on experience volunteering at the Processing Center in Orange County on Monday 12/10, please email Annie Thaichareon, annie(at)epicentrechurch.org.
